πŸ’™ Blue Hour Glass Dome Workshop – In Person

Hosted by RockIt Crystals & Oddities

πŸ“ The Lace Collective – 437 Idaho St, Elko, NV

πŸ“… Sunday, July 26th

πŸ•’ Starts at 3PM | Duration: ~1.5 hours

πŸ’΅ $100 per person

Inspired by the deep blues, soft violets, and twilight tones of blue hour, this workshop shifts things into a more dimensional format, working inside a glass dome rather than a flat frame.

Each piece will feature a preserved Blue Doris Longwing butterfly as the focal point, built into a layered arrangement of natural textures and decorative elements. Instead of a flat composition, you’ll be creating something fully enclosed and sculptural, designed to be viewed from multiple angles.

You’ll be guided through placement, layering, and spacing within the dome so everything feels clean, balanced, and intentional, while still giving you the freedom to make it your own.

✨ Materials include:

β€’ A real preserved Blue Doris Longwing butterfly
β€’ An 8” Γ— 4.7” glass dome with wooden base
β€’ Tools & adhesive
β€’ Dried florals, moss, crystals, and decorative elements in shades of blue, violet, and complementary tones

✨ Optional Personal Touch

If you’d like to make your piece even more personal, you’re welcome to bring small items to incorporate into your design. This can include crystals, meaningful trinkets, small keepsakes, or even your own preserved insect.Β Not required, but a great way to create something that feels even more like yours.

While everyone will be working with similar materials, each dome will come together differently. Variations in placement, natural elements, decorative elements, and personal touches ensure every finished piece feels individual without forcing it.

This class is perfect for anyone who enjoys natural textures, wants to try something beyond the traditional shadowbox format, or is looking to create something sculptural, display-ready, and inspired by the colors of twilight.
