Create your own framed Luna moth display using preserved specimens, dried florals and decorative elements arranged inside an 8×8 shadowbox.

This workshop focuses on creating a balanced, layered composition centered around a preserved Luna moth. Inspired by natural history displays and botanical artwork, each piece combines natural textures with decorative accents to create something elegant, unique, and display-ready.

You’ll be guided through composition, placement, and layering techniques while still having the freedom to customize your piece and make it your own.

• A real preserved Luna moth
• 8×8 black shadowbox frame
• Decorative gold accents
• Dried florals and decorative elements
• Tools & adhesive

✨ Optional Personal Touch

If you’d like to make your piece even more personal, you’re welcome to bring small items to incorporate into your design. This can include crystals, meaningful trinkets, small keepsakes, pressed flowers, or other decorative items that fit within the frame. Not required, but a great way to create something that feels even more personal and unique to you.

While everyone will be working with similar materials, each shadowbox will come together differently. Variations in placement, decorative elements, and personal touches ensure every finished piece feels individual without forcing it.

This class is beginner-friendly and perfect for anyone who enjoys natural history art, preserved insects, botanical decor, or simply wants to create something beautiful and unique for their home.
