After Stella found her forever home almost immediately, I couldn’t shake the idea of creating her sister. Where Stella embraced darker, moodier tones, Arabella came to life in soft blushes, ivory, and an electric flash of blue. A brilliant Morpho didius butterfly takes center stage while a delicate Haetera piera drifts below, surrounded by preserved florals, soft pink moss, clear quartz, pink halite, and scattered faux pearls.
Hidden among the botanicals are a naturally sourced skunk skull, a marten skull, rib bones, and preserved snake sheds, details that invite a second look and reward anyone who lingers a little longer.
I wanted this piece to feel like stumbling upon an abandoned Victorian conservatory where nature has quietly reclaimed every corner. Romantic, a little haunting, and filled with beautiful contradictions. Soft from a distance, wonderfully strange up close.
