This one feels like the very end of summer to me, when everything is still colorful and blooming, but the greens have started to soften and there’s just a hint that the season is beginning to change. The pale luna moths almost disappear into the blush velvet until you catch their soft green wings, surrounded by tiny golden stars and pressed botanicals.

I wanted her to feel feminine and romantic without losing that slightly old-world feeling I love. The oversized ornate frame gives the whole piece a little drama, while the pink velvet, dried flowers and delicate moths keep everything soft. She feels like a garden caught somewhere between summer and fall, still blooming, just a little quieter.
