Picture Lanella on a shelf beside old books and little collected treasures, on a vanity surrounded by candles and glass or tucked into a space that already leans a little romantic, a little strange, and a little overgrown.

Lanella feels like the last lush stretch of summer before everything starts to shift. I wanted her to feel abundant and almost unruly: like flowers, wings and tiny creatures all got caught together in one preserved little moment under glass. There’s a softness to the pinks and purples, but the bright yellow swallowtail keeps the whole piece alive and playful instead of too delicate. She feels like a piece for someone who wants their home to feel less decorated and more collected, full of things that make you stop, look closer, and wonder where they came from.

Created with a real preserved swallowtail butterfly, preserved bee specimens, dried and preserved botanicals, crystal accents, and pale pink crystal chips inside a brass-toned glass coffin.
